We set and mark international high school/secondary level subjects offered at various participating centres Worldwide and further education levels subject taken at the participating centres internationally. As an independent learning and education not for profit, charitable intents Organisation our revenue is reinvested back into JIEB charitable intents activities. It also funds our innovate projects, research and programmes internationally, which is mostly in our assessments programmes and supports our initiatives to help young people facing challenges in life internationally to actualise their potentials and meet their goals.

In addition, we provide supports and services that facilitate learning such as a comprehensive support and training packages for teachers, opportunities for continuous professional development (CPD) and computer-based resources to help teachers and students at the various participating learning centres globally.

Our Leadership

Day-to-day leadership and management sits with the Executive Educational Development Officer (EDO), who is assisted by the Executive Education Team.

Our Trustees/Directors are responsible for our overall strategy, policy, educational initiatives and development, and for steering JIEB to fulfill its educational and charitable intents objectives.

Our History

In the 20th Century, the assessment system as we know it did not exist. Secondary education and exams were only available to a small group, characterised by social class, age and gender, rather than ability. Exams were used by universities and some professional bodies to select students.

Again, many countries educational systems are age rigid and specific and people who are extremely gifted and talented are forced to delay their progress by bring strictly asked to follow their chronological age mates at school, thereby wasting their talents and making them not to work in their own individual learning styles and abilities.

Consequently, as the associations of Heath Care Professionals in Europe have members globally, there was a need to add the education of extremely gifted and talented people and people with special learning needs

Our Charitable Intents and Purposes

We have over a 661 0 years of qualifications expertise dating back to 1961 when the Joint General Council founded the Alliance of Examination Boards for various associations Teaching and Learning Centres. These international examination boards came into existence to provide an opportunity for young people from a range of membership backgrounds and communities international to access education and make the most of their potential.

This commitment to social mobility remains at the heart of JIEB’s charitable purpose, which is to advance education by enabling educators and candidates to realise their potential.

We demonstrate this by providing qualifications that enable students to progress, and reinvesting any surplus we make in:

research – through the expertise of our Educational Research and innovations Teams, we ensure that we are able to continuously improve the quality and reliability of our assessments and contribute to the development of assessment policy and practice, both in our Academies and Learning Centres globally.

offering a broad range of qualifications because we believe they have educational value – and not offering qualifications that could be profitable, but we don’t think would help students progress directly funding activities such as our JIEB Unlocking Potential programme, which helps develop and inspire young people facing challenges in life.

Improving social mobility through education, by sponsoring groups of teachers from areas with low student attainment, to attend residential leadership courses with The Joint International Education Services (JIES).

Language of Operations for the Joint International Examination Board (JIEB)

As the Joint International Examination Board (JIEB) is a joint international Educational Organisation for different membership teams and Organisations, the Board agreed that the language of operations of the Board will be Bulgarian Language due to the fact that the Organisation is based in Bulgaria and in English Language as the Board serves international membership Organisations and Collaborating Teams and Groups globally, which is currently expanding.

Therefore, people who wish to study in countries where English Language is not the official language will need to legalise their diplomas (certificates)/documents, notarize them, and get them translated by an Official Sworn Translator into the language of the country, where the people want to undertake their education.
